TRADITIONAL CHICKEN + RICE CONGEE

TRADITIONAL CHICKEN + RICE CONGEE (GLUTEN FREE)

This warm and soothing traditional rice porridge provides a plethora of easily digestible nutrients. It has been considered a medicinal food in China since the Han Dynasty. Organic rice is simmered in bone broth with pastured chicken until the grains absorb all of the liquid and resemble a creamy porridge. The nutrients in the broth, including marrow from the bones, will be easily absorbed by the body and provide a warming source of key minerals and collagen. The fiber from the brown rice helps to maintain optimal bowel function and prevents constipation. You can top your congee with whatever your heart desires or what your body feels like it needs in the moment: boiled eggs, roasted mushrooms, garlic, sesame seeds, nuts, dates, prunes, fresh herbs, etc. You get the point! This dish is highly customizable for optimal nutrition. A favorite food for postpartum!
